If the construction specifications are not strictly followed during the installation of plastic flooring, there may be problems such as joint cracking, bubbling, or warping in the later stage. So before laying, it is necessary to understand some construction knowledge to ensure that the plastic flooring achieves the desired paving effect.

Common Sense 1

When laying plastic flooring, any expansion gap should be less than 1 centimeter, especially when laying near doors, corners, and concealed areas. It is necessary to roughly estimate the expansion gap or saw board unevenness, so that any part of the floor comes into contact with the fixed object. As long as any part of the floor comes into contact with a fixed object, there will be forces and reactions, causing partial or complete arching, and in severe cases, joint cracking or warping.

Common Sense 2

The cement floor has been completed for less than three months, or although it has been completed for three months, the doors and windows of the room are closed, without ventilation or air exchange, and the humidity is too high. In this case, if the plastic floor is laid for a longer time, arching or cracking of joints and corners may occur.

Before the installation of plastic flooring, although heating experiments were conducted in the geothermal heating room, the geothermal construction unit did not reach the highest temperature and continuously observe the changes in ground temperature in order to deliver the project early or save funds. When the ground had a temperature, the experiment was stopped. As a result, a large amount of moisture and temperature were not emitted. After the flooring was installed, once heating was resumed, the moisture and humidity that could not be emitted increased dramatically. Or even if a complete experiment is conducted, the geothermal temperature does not gradually increase after paving, but rather increases once and for all. This sudden and rapid increase to the maximum temperature produces moisture, dampness, and heat, leading to floor arching, cracking, and bubbling.

Common sense four: After laying plastic flooring, do not live in the room for several consecutive months, and close doors and windows for a long time, causing the indoor air to be stagnant and the humidity to be insufficient. Especially during the winter and summer seasons, the "stuffy board" in this environment is prone to arching, cracking, and warping.

Common Sense 5

Although plastic flooring has good waterproof properties, it cannot be soaked in water for a long time. When maintaining and wiping the ground, the accumulated water on the ground should be cleaned up in a timely manner to avoid water ingress into the floor joints or frequent wetting of the joints, which may cause joint cracking and corner warping.

Common Sense 6

During the installation of plastic flooring, the paving workers rush to meet the deadline or violate regulations based solely on experience. Therefore, when paving, the paving time should be arranged reasonably and a qualified construction team should be selected.

Common Sense Seven

When laying plastic flooring, there was no careful inspection, and some flooring had quality problems that were not picked out, but mixed with good and bad, resulting in problems.

Common Sense 8

During winter paving, due to the increased water absorption rate of the floor and the "hibernation" of plastic flooring, the floor was not placed indoors for more than 12 hours in advance for temperature adaptation and "thawing and awakening", resulting in problems after a period of time.
